The Other OtherZ (6
PM ON THE DOT)
The Other Otherz is a Rock group with sound influences from Paramore,
Nickleback, Van Halen, Bon Jovi and No Doubt to name a few. Susette
Andres was co-founder of Polygram recording artists PRECIOUS METAL.
Susette also was in WYLD HEARTS AND BOMBSHELL (produced by Rikki Rockett
from Poison). Her bands have shared the stage with GUNS AND ROSES,
WARRANT, RACER X, FASTER PUSSY CAT, SHARK ISLAND, and many of the other
great hair bands. Susette has been playing drums since the age of five.
Jeff Mattern toured all over Europe with top ten recording artists
Fantastics. He plays a mean guitar and his style is greatly influenced
by Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and of course Eddie Van Halen. Jeff wows
audiences with his flashy, fast, but accurate playing. Colleen Bromsey
is the main back up vocalist, sometimes lead vocalist, percussionist and
rhythm guitarist. She has a beautiful angel like voice that complements
the original material beautifully! Susette heard Colleen sing out at a
club one night and knew she would be the perfect addition to complete
the unique sound of The Other OtherZ.
Blue Collar
Combo (8 PM *) (Could flip with fashion show)
Blue Collar Combo is a high energy rockabilly band that brings unique
style to the stage. Travis Mullins has had a passion for the rockabilly
and rock n' roll lifestyle since he can remember. He's one of those
true-hearted musicians that lets the music take him over on stage, which
you can honestly see in each performance. Brandon Dixon loves every
opportunity he has to play, completely emersing himself into the music.
Zack Simpson enjoys the history and meaning rockabilly brings to his
life and to the songs he writes. A working band for the working man!
Winners of the 2010 West Coast Rockabilly Showdown!!
So Long Sucker (9
PM)
Not quite punk, not quite surf, not quite your average rock and roll
band. So Long Sucker has just finished recording their first EP entitled
“This Ain’t No Game”, a six-song journey through the instrumental rock,
surf, punk, country, and garage influenced music the four-piece band is
known for, and it’s no game. The band’s sound is heavy, but lyrical with
the guitars carrying the melodies and the rhythm section driving them
hard. It’s the perfect accompaniment music for breaking bottles, doing
housework, evading your child support payment, or dropping a tranny in
your minivan. So Long Sucker is Dave DeMeat on drums, Kathleen “Julio
Jones” Bostick on bass guitar, Marcus Rubone and Dean Matherly on
guitars. Coming soon to a dive bar near you.
